There really are two cats in that carrier :) Sammy as usual is the braver of the two and looks out to see what's new in her world. We already got a follow up they are doing great and fitting in well.

Adoption Follow-up - Casey!

Her new mom writes: "Casey is doing great! She made herself at home the first day, exploring the house. She hangs out with my daughter a lot and sleeps in her room. When she’s not rolling around the kitchen floor she plays with her favorite toy! We’re so happy to have her!"

Fosters Needed - Momma - to - be Claire-bear

Space for intake is always a challenge whether you have a 1 bedroom apartment or an entire building. Help us help more cats by fostering.
|
CLAIRE is very friendly girl who came to us as a stray. The woman who was feeding her has dogs or would have taken her in. She is very pregnant and we would love to get her into a foster home before her babies arrive.
If you feel more comfortable fostering mom after babies are born that's OK too. We have a very large crate we can provide for the first few weeks as well as food. Ideally we'd love to see her and the babies in their own room away from other pets. Moms are always very protective.

We were happy to welcome Felix but the day before he was scheduled to arrive he was placed directly into a home instead! Congratulations Felix :)

Volunteers Needed at Petco!
|
We really need a few more volunteers to cover a 1 hour shift, AM or PM, to scoop boxes, light cleaning, make sure kitties have food and water, and of course, get a little extra love and attention!
|
Just one hour per week would make a big difference to help us adopt out more cats. An AM shift could be 8-9, 9-10 or 10-11. PM could be 4-5, 5-6, or 6-7. It can vary from week to week.
Currently looking to fill Monday and Wednesday evenings, and Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Saturday and Sunday evenings would be nice as well.

An Awesome Sign at Petco!

We were SO thrilled to be gifted with this a-frame sign board, as well as the beautiful graphics on both sides. Look for it on the side walk on Main St outside the Petco plaza every weekend!

With the adoption of our first four original cats, we've been able to help more kitties in need.

OZZY came in Thursday and was adopted Sunday to a friend of a board member. He was not a fan of other cats and he now has his own person all to himself :)
|
|
JAZZY was an owner surrender due to eviction and is still very scared. He was a very good boy for his vet appointment and is now up to date, tested, and ready for a home. He's good with kids and other cats.

CHARLIE was a stray, can you believe it with that coloring? Very friendly with people, has lived with other cats in foster and is fully vetted, tested and ready for adoption!

Volunteers Needed April 27
|
We're registered for Trumbull Library's Volunteer Fair on April 27. We'll be among 23 organizations from Fairfield County hoping to signup new volunteers and the only animal rescue as far as we know.

Can you help us staff a table 11-2? This will be our first "split" Saturday. Some of us will be at Petco for adoptions but we want to make a good showing at this event too. If you can help out at either location during those hours please reply to this message! All ages are welcome at the library event, Petco policy is age 16+.
