Since incorporating in January and becoming a Petco adoption partner in March we have been VERY busy! Our shelter software (currently Excel lol) tells me we've taken in 83 cats and kittens.
We have done 37 adoptions, 3 transfers to other rescue groups, 3 TNRs, 2 return to owners, have 4 cats at Petco, a few adults and a whole LOT of kittens in foster care, waiting to come in so they too can join our adoption numbers.
We couldn't have done any of this without the kindness and generosity of all our supporters! We're so grateful for our doners, fosters, and volunteers! I am personally SO thankful for the Petco peeps who allow me to spend a few hours at home during the week with my own cats :-)

It's been 3 weeks since our last update and so much has happened since then. Most notable is that one of our first rescues - Maryann - has been adopted!

An update from our 1st adoption, Oliver (now Ollie)

Ollie was a shy boy but after 4 months in a home has really come out of his shell! He now loves to sleep on the bed and snuggle with his new family members.

Leaf is a brand new kitty!
|
Anyone who visited Leaf during her time at Petco, likely had little idea how cute and sweet she really was. Luckily one couple of tuxedo lovers looked past her shyness and took a chance on her. Leaf is a completely different kitty being in a home! She is affectionate, outgoing and even kind of silly!

Maverick rules the house!

His family writes: "Update on Mavvy: he's doing great and basically runs the household already. He was neutered Monday but that hasn't slowed him down."

His new mom writes: "We have decided to call him Myles, he doesn't seem to mind the change :)"

Patches (Calypso) update!

Can you believe this kitten was feral when she came to us?! Her new mom writes: "She’s doing amazing. She loves to play and snuggle. She really can eat a lot for a little girl. She loves playing in her water bowl. She splashes the water a lot with her paw. And sometimes I’ll find toys in the water. She’s silly and I love her so much."

Texas Roadhouse August 1st

Our first big fundraising event is a 10% "Dine to Donate" at Texas Roadhouse in West Haven. Dine there from 3:30 to 10 pm on August 1st and they'll donate 10% of your food purchase to us!
